Sprouts made more interesting by turning them out into these tikkis

Ingredients

  • Sprouted pigeon peas ¾ cup
  • Medium potatoes, boiled and peeled 3
  • Medium onion, finely chopped 1
  • Green chillies, finely chopped 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder ¾ tsp
  • Fennel seeds (saunf) 1 tsp
  • Cashewnuts, chopped 2 tbsps
  • Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped 2 tbsps
  • Cornflour 3 tbsps
  • Sunflower oil ½ tbsp

Methods

  • Take pigeon pea sprouts, potatoes, onion, potato, green chillies, salt, turmeric powder, fennel seeds, cashewnuts, coriander leaves and cornflour in a bowl and mash everything together.
  • Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into cutlets.
  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan, place the cutlets in it and cook, turning sides, till they are evenly golden and crisp on both sides.
  • Arrange them on a serving platter and serve hot.
