Layered Chocolate & Strawberry Tower

A lovely looking dessert this, it has myriad flavours blending together well

Ingredients

  • Dark chocolate, chopped ½ cup
  • Strawberries, chopped 2 to 3 tbsps
  • Biscuits 8 to 10
  • Fresh cream 2 tbsps
  • Almonds and pistachios, chopped 2 tsps
  • Biscuit crumbs 2 tsps
  • Garnishing
  • Cocoa powder a little
  • Strawberry crush a little
  • Strawberry fan 1
  • Caramel
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Lemon juice 1 tsp

Methods

  • Melt the dark chocolate in a small pan on low heat. Once the dark chocolate melts, stir well till it cools down.
  • Spread some melted chocolate on each biscuit and keep on a large plate.
  • Put strawberry, cream, almonds, pistachios and biscuits crumbs in a bowl and mix well.
  • For garnishing make a stencil of your favorite design and place it at the corner of the serving plate.
  • Put cocoa powder in a strainer and dust it on the stencil such that it forms a design on the plate.
  • Use strawberry crush to make some dots on the plate.
  • Keep one chocolate coated biscuit in the center of the plate. Put some strawberry mixture on it biscuit. Place another chocolate coated biscuit on it and spread some strawberry mixture on it. Repeat these layers to make a tower.
  • Heat sugar in a non-stick pan, add lemon juice and cook till sugar melts and caramelizes.
  • Quickly sprinkle the caramel on a silicon sheet to make a design and let it set. Slowly dislodge it from the sheet and decorate the tower with it. Place a strawberry fan on the tower and serve immediately.
