Dal tadka and jeera rice may not sound very exciting, but when you present them this they will please everyone

Ingredients

  • Cooked dal tadka 2 cups
  • Cooked jeera rice 3 cups
  • Medium tomato, seeded and cut into strips 1
  • Medium radish, thinly sliced 1
  • Medium carrot, peeled and thinly sliced 1
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon juice 1 tsp
  • Spring onions, finely chopped 2

Methods

  • Mix tomato, radish and carrot in a bowl. Add some salt and lemon juice and mix.
  • For each portion arrange ¾ cup jeera rice in the middle of a serving plate.
  • Keep some salad on one side and ½ cup dal tadka on the other.
  • Garnish with spring onions and serve immediately.
