Ingredients

  • Ladyfingers (bhindi), cut into 1/2 inch pieces 1 cup
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds ½ tsp
  • Garlic, chopped 1 tsp
  • Medium onion, chopped 1
  • Green chillies, chopped 2
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Red chilli powder ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Medium tomato, chopped ½
  • Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped 1 tsp

Methods

  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, garlic and onion and saute till onion changes colour.
  • Add ladyfinger pieces and mix. Add green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt and mix.
  • Add tomato, mix and cook till ladyfingers are done.
  • Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
