A delicious side dish – broccoli and sesame complement each other well in this dish

Ingredients

  • Medium broccoli 2
  • Olive oil 1 tbsp
  • Onions, sliced 3 cups
  • Honey 2 tsps + to drizzle
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Garlic clove, thinly sliced 1
  • White sesame seeds (safed til) 3½ tbsps + to garnish
  • Olives, pitted 5 to 6
  • Cherry tomatoes 5 to 6 + to garnish
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped 1 tsp
  • Cider vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Green capsicum curls a few
  • Red wine vinegar 1 tsp

Methods

  • Cut the broccoli in equal sized florets.
  • Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan, add onions and honey and saute till they are caramelized.
  • Add salt and mix. Add garlic, sesame seeds, broccoli, olives and cherry tomatoes and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add black pepper and parsley and mix. Add apple cider vinegar and mix.
  • Transfer into a serving platter, garnish with sesame seeds, cherry tomatoes and capsicum.
  • Drizzle honey and red wine vinegar and serve immediately.
