Ingredients

  • Celery, chopped 3½ tbsps
  • Tomatoes, chopped 1 cup
  • Oil 1 tsp
  • Garlic, chopped 1 tsp
  • Vegetable stock 1½ cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Black peppercorns, freshly ground 1 tsp
  • Pimpli / peepramul powder 1 tsp

Methods

  • Pressure cook celery for 1 whistle. Let them cool a bit, transfer into a blender jar and puree.
  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic and saute till lightly browned.
  • Transfer the tomato puree into a deep non-stick pan, add vegetable stock and mix well. Let the mixture come to a boil.
  • Add the fried garlic and mix well.
  • Add salt, pepper powder and pimpli, mix well and boil for 1-2 minutes.
  • Transfer into individual soup bowls and serve piping hot.
