Oats makes the popular chocolate chip cookies healthier

Ingredients

  • Oats 2 tbsps
  • Dark chocolate chips ¼ cup
  • Butter ¼ cup + to grease
  • Castor sugar ¼ cup
  • Egg 1
  • Refined flour ¼ cup
  • Baking powder 1 tsp

Methods

  • Preheat oven to 180º C. Grease a baking tray.
  • Take butter and sugar in a mixing bowl and beat with an electric beater till light and fluffy.  Add egg and beat again.
  • Add refined flour, baking powder, dark chocolate chips and oats and mix well to make a dough.
  • Divide the dough into equal portions and shape each into a round cookie. Place them on a baking tray.
  • Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • Take the tray out of the oven, let them cool before arranging them on a serving platter and serve.
  • Or you can store them in an airtight container.
